The Warriors have been preparing to build a new arena in San Francisco and relocate across the Bay, and a recent court ruling has moved those plans forward.
A superior court judge has ruled that environmental concerns brought against the effort to build the new arena weren’t valid, and that reviews of the environmental impact of the project where adequate.
The proposal has had opponents also concerned with the traffic impact on the Mission Bay neighborhood, which is home to UCSF Medical Center.
The fear is based on the idea that traffic near the arena will impede access to the medical center, but public transportation options have been examined and it is believed that these can alleviate the potential problem.
Meanwhile, Draymond Green is preparing for the Summer Olympics with Team USA, and despite a turbulent past few months for him both on and off the court, he says that he will not change who he is or how he plays.
Green is awaiting arraignment on his assault charge in East Lansing, while also practicing with Team USA in anticipation for the Rio Olympics, which begin on August 5.
Green plays with a fiery passion, and while he should learn to control that rage, it can’t be denied that part of why he has been so successful as a player is because of that edge he brings.
