If anybody can relate to what Kevin Durant is going through right now, it’s LeBron James. Just a handful of years ago, he was the one drawing the ire of fans for his free agent decision.

James and Chris Bosh joined up with Dwyane Wade in Miami, which set off enormous negative backlash from fans.

James not only supports Durant’s decision to join the Warriors in free agency, but also thinks that Durant going to the Warriors is good for the league.

James stressed how highly competitive the NBA has become, and probably knows that the Cavaliers will have their work cut out for them to defend their title against this Warriors squad.

Mark Cuban had previously said that he thought Durant going to the Warriors was good for the league as well, although he emphasized more of an economic perspective.

If Durant could be marketed as a villain, then the league could cash in on the interest generated by him and the Warriors.

The Warriors are certainly drawing a lot of attention these days, and one of their biggest admirers is Chicago Cubs manager Joe Maddon.

Steve Kerr met with Maddon before the Cubs game on Tuesday, and Maddon had nothing but great things to say about the Warriors as a franchise.
