The Warriors are coming off a six game road trip and they finished with a 3-3 record. LeBron James decided to show the league he’s still as dominant as ever by dropping 42 points in a win against the Warriors. They also had two disappointing losses in Indiana and Brooklyn, both winnable games that didn’t go their way.
The season is winding down and the main priority for the Warriors has been to keep their players healthy. If the Warriors plan on going on a deep season run, they are going to need a healthy Andrew Bogut. They don’t have another big man on the roster that can defend the rim and paint like Bogut.
Some believed the Warriors would add some insurance for Bogut by the trade deadline, but nothing materialized. According to ESPN’s Chris Broussard, the Warriors have interest in signing JaVale McGee:

Having McGee to back up Bogut would improve the Warriors’ chances at winning an NBA title. McGee would come to Golden State and would have a specific role, which could be the key to them making a deep post season run.
Bogut has had trouble staying healthy, so having McGee as a back-up plan would be ideal. He’s a long and athletic center that can rebound and defend the rim. He has dealt with injuries as of late, but he might be worth the risk.
Sign him now Warriors, we need more size.
