The Golden State Warriors closed out the first round and selected Damian Jones of Vanderbilt with the 30th pick. Although they didn’t possess anymore draft picks, the Warriors’ night was not over as they nabbed the 38th pick from the Milwaukee Bucks.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, the Dubs shelled out $2.4 million for the guard.

The Warriors just selected 6-foot-6 shooting guard, Patrick McCaw from the University of Las Vegas. In his lone season as a Running Rebel, the 20 year old played in 31 games at about 34 minutes a contest. In those games, he averaged 14.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.9 assists and an astounding 2.4 steals.
His long and athletic frame will help him keep up with guards in this league as he already has a reputation as a good defender. The willingness to purchase the pick should give Warriors fans some confidence as the front office obviously likes the guard.

FYI – McCaw is a sophomore, he played two seasons at UNLV.
