The Golden State Warriors collected win #69 and look to break the 20 year record set by the Chicago Bulls. They’ve developed a new type of basketball and with their exquisite shooting, have been able to separate themselves from the rest of the league.
Stephen Curry is close to surpassing 400 made three-pointers on the season. It’s extraordinary since no other player has even passed 300 made three-pointers. Not only has Steph been on a torrid shooting streak, his fellow Splash Brother, Klay Thompson has been showing off his shot as well. As of today, Klay has drained 262 trey balls and will five games left, he will probably finish the season with more than 272. That would be good for the third best 3-point made shooting season ever.
Behind those two players, the entire Warriors squad have followed the lead. According to NBA Stats, the Warriors are the first team to make over 1,000 threes in a season:

After Sunday’s win against the Portland Trailblazers, the Dubs have made 1,013 of 2,422 attempts, that equates to an outstanding 41.8%. While the Splash Brothers have been on a shooting tear, Andrew Bogut and James Michael McAdoo actually lead the team with a three-pointer made (they’re both 1/1).
