The Warriors used to be bad until they scouted, did their research, and drafted well. From Stephen Curry, to Festus Ezeli, the talent of this roster doesn’t know anything else but playing for the Warriors. Working from the draft and then finding key pieces in free agency, this championship team was pieced together.

In 2012, the Warriors had quite a haul. They drafted Harrison Barnes, Festus Ezeli, and Draymond Green. These were third year players making an impact in the NBA Finals. According to Marcus Thompson of the Mercury News, there’s mutual interest between the two parties to keep the fire going:
Harrison Barnes, who once again has shined in the postseason, is due for a contract extension this offseason. And the Warriors should be diligent about making sure he gets it.
According to multiple sources, Barnes indeed wants an extension and the Warriors want to give him one. The only question is how much will he get.
It’s great to see that Barnes is already looking forward to staying in the Bay Area and the Warriors are interested in keeping him. We all knew Draymond loves it here and wanted to stay, but the same question appeared “how much will he get?”
As you already know, the Warriors paid Green and extended him for five more seasons at $82 million. With the salary cap going up, the Warriors front office was able to keep Dray from taking the max, giving them some more flexibility for the future.
Another reason this squad is looking so deep and strong is because of Curry. Steph still leads the team on court but is currently the sixth highest paid player on the roster. Expect that to change in the Summer of 2017 when he is adequately paid.
