The Golden State Warriors are off to an incredible start; hoisting an 8-2 record that has given fans hope and promise for the season. With the holidays quickly approaching, the Warriors showered their appreciation and gave back to the community. As part of the NBA Cares program, the Warriors hosted a Thanksgiving event in San Francisco. In the Bay Area spirit, the players went public and rode BART home together.

The Warriors roster brilliantly decided to take the public transportation over the grueling rush hour traffic. This just shows how much the team is filled with down to Earth players. Andrew Bogut and Stephen Curry’s on court chemistry has spewed off court too. Bogut took it to Twitter to show off his favorite point guard:

Ever since he signed with the Warriors, Leandro Barbosa has been nothing but positive. The Warriors looked like they had fun helping the community that supports them when they’re playing and the Brazilian Blur confirmed the joy:
Congrats to all staff involve on putting together the Thanksgiving event last night we had fun, a blast! @Warriors http://t.co/81GQFI2bqi

The good news doesn’t stop there; Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports reports Klay Thompson has given up some of his new contract by donating $20,000 to the Thanksgiving event in Oakland:
Warriors G Klay Thompson has donated $20K to facilitate the continuation of Oakland’s annual city-wide Thanksgiving Dinner event on Tuesday.

The Warriors give off a genuinely good persona. They never looked miserable or forced in their charity work and they even spent time with the common folk on BART. Although they were way too tall to be comfortable, the Warriors showed off their personality.
