The Golden State Warriors will finish with the best record in franchise history when it’s all set and done. They have 60 wins and will be looking to make it 61 against the Clippers on Tuesday night. It’s been a spectacular season for a franchise that has struggled in the past. The Warriors look like a team that will be good for years to come.

If you haven’t experienced a game at Oracle Arena and you live in the Bay Area, you need to do add that to your to-do list. This year has been a treat for season-ticket holders, but it has become more difficult to resell them in case you can’t catch a game. According to Darren Rovell of ESPN, StubHub is suing the Warriors and Ticketmaster for threatening the season-ticket holders if they don’t resell their tickets
The suit alleges that the team has informed season-ticket holders should they resell their tickets through anything other than Ticketmaster’s exchange, NBATickets.com, they will have their ticket privileges revoked.
This included not being offered playoff tickets to the season in which they had already purchased season tickets or not being invited to purchase season tickets for next season.
The threat has apparently worked. StubHub claims that listings for Warriors tickets, which is currently the hottest ticket in the NBA, are down 80 percent in the past year.
The Warriors and Ticketmaster have not responded, but according to Rovell, this could be landmark case. StubHub wants a place in the game, but Ticketmaster and the Warriors are making it very difficult.
As a season-ticket holder, it’s easier to oblige and not risk losing their playoff and regular season tickets, which is why StubHub wants to go to court. It will be interesting to see how the Warriors and Ticketmaster respond , but this could take some time.
