Golden State Warriors power forward Draymond Green said the other day that the team is bored. He now has a supporter on his side of the aisle now, and that support comes in the form of head coach Steve Kerr. The championship winning coach seems to agree with Green’s assessment of the situation.

Coach Kerr does believe that the Warriors have become a tad bored, saying that it was “fair to say” that the team was definitely disinterested in some of the goings on this late in the season. He also added a little bit more.

From Monte Poole, columnist for CSN Bay Area:

“It’s a miracle that we’ve gone this far without hitting a bump in the road,” coach Steve Kerr said of the mini-slide. “This is to be expected. Every team goes through it. It’s just probably surprising for people out there, and maybe even for our own guys because this season has come almost too easy for us in a lot of ways.”

The season, in some ways, has definitely been easy for the Golden State Warriors, and Steve Kerr wants to avoid the pitfalls of boredom. To his own credit, Andrew Bogut said that he doesn’t believe the team is bored but does think it has been “a long season.”

There are only a four games left in the season, and 70 wins is right around the corner. The record of 73 wins is still within their grasp, but it’ll take all hands on deck to get there. Boredom or not, the team will need to slowly turn around their level of play as the playoffs draw ever so closer.
