The Golden State Warriors officially have the best record in the NBA. After beating the New Orleans Pelicans 112-85, the Dubs are now 16-2, which is also the best start in franchise history. The Warriors are beating teams and everyone is stepping up, even when Steph Curry and Klay Thompson have an off-night.

It’s hard to pick out a flaw on this team, but their low post presence is something that has been brought up. However, David Lee is a low post threat and should eradicate any concerns. According to Jordan Ramirez, Steve Kerr is very eager to have the All-Star forward back in the line-up:
Kerr on D-Lee: “We need him. We’ll find ways to play him. It may mean a few less minutes for Harrison or Draymond. We’ll figure it out.”

Lee’s hamstring injury that he suffered in the last game of the pre-season has lingered long enough to keep him from playing in the first 18 games. Lee tried to come back against the Clippers on November, 5th, but he aggravated his hamstring injury and only played seven minutes. Kerr understands they need Lee to contend with the top-tier teams of the Western Conference. Kerr will have to figure out how to insert him in his rotation.
The Warriors have taken their time with Lee and rightfully so. They have enough depth, which has come in clutch in Lee’s absence. Draymond Green has been playing like a mad man and he’s making a case to remain in the starting line-up. However, Lee averages about 18 points and 10 rebounds, which would make the Warriors even more dangerous.
