All-Star Saturday is arguably the best part of the weekend. This year, the Foot Locker 3-PT Contest was easily the most anticipated event of the evening and that hasn’t always been the case. This year’s contest is likely the most impressive field of contestants we’ve ever seen, which includes Steph Curry and Klay Thompson.
Both Splash Brothers were able to advance to the next round, so two of the three finalist were wearing a Golden State jersey. Kyrie Irving had a decent showing in the final, but Steph Curry saved his best for last. Curry would finish with a score of 27 and at one point he hit 13 in a row. Now, all the pressure was on Thompson.
The other Splash Brother got off to a hot start, but Thompson cooled off as the final round continued. After several attempts, Curry finally wins the Foot Locker Three Point Contest.

Both Splash Brothers had impressive first rounds, Thompson had the best score with 24. We expected Thompson to put up a fight in the final, but he never got into any type of rhythm. Curry scored 27 out of a possible 34 points and he made it look effortless.
Curry loves the bright lights and this is the event everybody was waiting for. Steph delivered and gave the audience their money’s worth. Curry will be back next year to defend his crown and Thompson should give it another shot, he showed he’s capable of winning it all.
