Steph Curry has done some amazing things off the court this season, including 51 point performance in a win against the Dallas Mavericks. He’s a candidate for the NBA MVP, the reigning three point shooting champ and the Warriors are still the number one seed in the West.
Off the court, Curry is equally impressive. The Davidson product is consistently supporting good causes and donates to numerous charitable organizations. According to KTVU.com, Curry is part of the Fruit and Vegetables campaign and will part of an ad sometime in the future:
Kaepernick and Curry, along with WWE star John Cena, actors Kristen Bell and Jessica Alba, musician Nick Jonas, and athletes Cam Newton and Victor Cruz all support FNV.
To start, the campaign will primarily be on social media with short videos featuring celebrities.
The teaser video to promote eating more fresh fruits and vegetables debuted on Thursday.
A video featuring Warriors point guard Stephen Curry is scheduled to debut later this year.
The campaign is part of the Partnership for a Healthier America and works together with Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” initiative. The main goal is to get everyone to eat more fruits and vegetables, especially with all the processed good so easily available.
Curry will join some other prominent athletes, actors and recording artists that will be a part of the FNV campaign. Fellow Bay Area athlete, Colin Kaepernick already appears in the current FNV ad, but Curry will have his own later this year.
With obesity being a huge problem in America, the FNV campaign is another great cause Curry has become a part of and it won’t be the last.
