The Warriors had an embarrassing performance against the Memphis Grizzlies this past Saturday and to make matters worse, they had to fly immediately to Minnesota to take on the Timberwolves in the second game of a back to back.
It didn’t look pretty to start the game and the Warriors found themselves down 10 to start the fourth quarter. Luckily, the reserves and Klay Thompson got the Warriors back into the game and they escaped with a 116-108 victory.
Thompson was the leading scorer with 30 points and Kevin Durant chipped in with 22, but it was Steph Curry who made history.
The back to back Most Valuable Player finished with 22 points as well, including two three point shots that officially moved him past Steve Nash in career three pointers made. Curry is now 17th all time.

Nash is one of the greatest shooters to ever play this game and Curry is often compared to the former MVP point guard. However, if you ask Nash today, surely he would tell you that Curry is the much better shooter between the two of them.
Curry was able to surpass Nash in eight years and will be moving up this career three pointers made list very quickly. Steph already has the best three point percentage than anybody that is ahead of him on this list, so expect him to keep passing people in a rapid pace.
Ray Allen is the all time leader in three pointers made with 2,973. Curry currently has 1,686, which means he’s behind 1,287. Assuming Curry can knock down 400 triples in one season, it should only take him four more season for him to claim his rightful place on the throne.
