The Golden State Warriors arguably played their worst game of the season tonight. However, they were still able to grind out a victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder and improve to 10-2 on the season.

The Warriors moved the ball well, they simply couldn’t put the ball in the hole. They missed so many easy baskets and allowed the Thunder to stay in the game. Marreese Speights was the lone bright spot for the Warriors, picking up the scoring slack with 28 points.
After the game, Speights gave Kendrick Perkins some credit for tonight’s performance according to Diamond Leung of the Bay Area News Group:
Marreese Speights: “Always getting me going, so shoutout to Perkins again.”

Marreese Speights “It’s just Perkins always got something to say. He thinks he’s a tough guy but @ the end of the day his game is terrible.” — Diamond Leung (@diamond83) November 24, 2014
Perkins consistently finds himself in altercations, so he likes to talk while he’s on the court. This wasn’t the first time Speights has put up with Perkins jawing, but Speights finally had enough. Speights responded, but he let his game do the talking. Perkins was all talk, he finished with four points and seven rebounds.
Speights is playing some of the best basketball of his career. His confidence is sky high and his team needed him tonight. Especially in a game where the Warriors were struggling to score. It’s going to be a fun game next time these two teams meet, the Perkins and Speights match-up will be the one to watch.
