Warriors’ All-Star guard Klay Thompson will miss the next 7-10 days with a sprained right ankle. Thompson suffered the injury Monday in the 108-105 win against the Los Angeles Lakers.
The two-way star was walking with a noticeable limp after the game late Monday night. He was able to finish the game, but you could tell it was bothering him.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle’s Rusty Simmons, Coach Steve Kerr is leaning toward starting rookie guard Justin Holiday.

Holiday had his first career start in Denver against the Nuggets on last Friday. He scored 23 points and made five three-pointers in 36 minutes.
The Warriors will expect more from the rotation and their MVP candidate in Stephen Curry. Thompson is having a career season, averaging 21.9 points on 46 percent shooting from the field. He received a max-extension earlier in the season to keep him with Golden State for at least the next few years.
Golden State hosts the Atlanta Hawks Wednesday night on national television in a rematch of the best teams in the league. They will be without Kyle Korver, so both teams will be without one of their all-stars.
