Klay Thompson Shooting Stroke

Halloween is a holiday that honors the spooky and unknown, but Warriors fans should rejoice on this glorious day. The Warriors had until today to sign Klay Thompson to a contract extension, otherwise he would become a restricted free agent at the end of the season, but Christmas came early for Dub Nation.

Now, the Warriors can continue this season with another one of their star players content and secure for the next several years. According to Marc Stein of ESPN, the Warriors and Thompson have agreed to four-year deal worth around $70 million:

The Warriors sure waited to last minute to get this deal done. There was no question Thompson was due a max contract, he’s evolved into one of the better two-way players in the league. After being on the rookie scale the last couple of years, the young man finally gets paid.

The exact details have not been released, but Warriors fans can rest easy knowing they arguably have the best backcourt in the game locked up for years to come. Thompson is only 24 years old and this contract will keep him with the Warriors during the prime years of his career.
