The 2014-15 season has been dream for the Warriors and their fans. They hold the best record in the NBA, but more importantly they are arguably the most entertaining team in the NBA. The Spurs are the defending champs, but they’ve been classified as “boring” and that’s not the case with the Dubs.
Klay Thompson gave the Bay Area and the rest of the country a show on Friday night. He dropped 37 points in the third quarter and 52 for the game. It was a historic night and the NBA universe was in awe after witnessing Thompson’s performance.
Today, the NBA announced Thompson as the Western Conference Player of the Week for a third time this season:

This was expected, Thompson averaged 33 points this last week and the Warriors went 4-0. He shot 56 percent from the field and 55 percent from beyond the arc. They 37 point record performance helped, but Thompson has been consistent and the Warriors keep winning ball games.
This is the third time Thompson wins this award and we haven’t even hit the All-Star break. He’s the first player in this franchise’s history to win the award three times in a single season. Thompson is also the only player to win the award three times this season, so if he’s not selected to the All-Star Game it would be a complete travesty.
