It’s my pleasure to do it this year for these families and senior citizens in need.”
This event is part of the team’s 2014 Plays for the Holidays community outreach campaign, as the Warriors organization and every Warriors player and coach will participate in events throughout the months of November and December to help brighten the lives of local families and youth in the Bay Area.
Early this month, Thompson participated in the Shop with the Warriors event where he joined fellow teammate Draymond Green, Assistant Coaches Luke Walton and Jarron Collins, and Warriors Community Ambassador Adonal Foyle to surprise five Bay Area families with a shopping spree at Lucky Supermarket to ensure each family has a memorable Thanksgiving. The fourth annual Shop with the Warriors event, presented by Lucky Supermarket, took place in Alameda’s Lucky Supermarket on Wednesday, November 12.
