The Warriors continued their greatest start in franchise history by pushing their overall record to 12-2. With the Toronto Raptors and Memphis Grizzlies sitting with 13 wins, the Warriors only need another victory to tie for the league’s best record. At home in the Oracle Arena, Golden State boasts a 5-1 record but more impressively they are 7-1 on the road.
Winning games in other arenas is never an easy task. On any given night, the “Splash Brothers” can go ice cold from the field or face a superstar from the opposing team that can shoot the lights out. Coach Kerr knows the team will go through rough patches throughout the season and is happy to see the team pick up victories when they should. Diamond Leung of the Bay Area News Groups quotes Steve Kerr’s emphasis on winning now:
Steve Kerr on road wins: “We’ve got to put them in the bank because we may have to make some withdrawals later on.”

Golden State has shown the chemistry and teamwork needed to contend at an elite level. The Warriors have two more games on this mini five game road trip. On Friday they will face the Hornets whom they’ve already defeated at home in a 112-87 victory. Sunday they travel to Detroit to take on the Pistons who may be without their floor general Brandon Jennings. The Warriors may finish the road trip undefeated after facing off with the under performing Hornets (4-12) and Pistons (3-12)
