With so much time in between the Conference Finals and the Finals, all there is left to do is to patiently wait. For the Warriors, most of the focus is on Klay Thompson, who has a concussion after all the initial confusion.

Initially, most people complained about the long layoff, but it could not have come at a better time for Thompson. Everyone hopes he will be cleared to play for Game 1, but with head injuries it’s tough to tell.

One of Thompson’s teammates seems confident Thompson will be ready. According to Diamond Leung of the Bay Area News Group, Harrison Barnes told KNBR that Thompson looked good:

It’s barely Saturday and for Barnes to confirm that Thompson looks good is definitely a good sign for the Warriors. Ideally, you would like to have Thompson cleared in time to get a few practices under his belt, but the Warriors would settle for him to simply be ready in Game 1.

This series promises to go six or seven games and with Thompson healthy and in the lineup, the Warriors have a good chance at dethroning the King. Only four wins away from the ultimate prize, do you really think a concussion is going to stop Klay? I don’t think so.
