David Lee is entering his 10th season in the NBA and so far he’s had a successful career. With two All-Star appearances under his belt, Lee could retire today and have a better career than most NBA players.

Lee, now 31, is on the latter end of his career. However, according to Garrett Johnston of the St. Louis Post Dispatch, Lee believes the best is yet to come:
“I think there’s more All-Star appearances in my future, and I think that I can be one of the better power forwards in today’s game,” Lee said. “I’m 31 years old, and I feel like I’m right in the prime of where I want to be, and I’ve got some great years left in me. So I’m just excited, and I still really enjoy the game.”
Lee is still young and talented enough to contend for an All-Star spot. He can score and rebound the ball very well, so his comments are not farfetched. He worked on his shot in the off-season and played well in the pre-season. Lee’s future with the Warriors was uncertain during the Summer, but now it seems he will be part of the plan this season.
It’s great to see Lee have so much confidence. To be successful in the NBA, confidence is a must, but will Lee be able to remain healthy. He’s questionable for the season opener with a left hamstring issue and while it’s not a major injury, it’s not the ideal way to start the NBA season.
