The Warriors have one goal, to win an NBA title. Many didn’t believe the Warriors were capable after last season’s first round exit in the playoffs, but times have changed. Steph Curry is the NBA’s Most Valuable Player and the Warriors have the best record in the league, anything short of a championship will be a disappointment.

That’s the mentality championships teams must embrace. The Warriors have not had this much success in decades and the players are finally getting recognized individually by the rest of the NBA. Draymond Green is due a potential max contract and Klay Thompson has established himself as one of the better two guards in the league.
Today, the Warriors got some great news. The Splash Brothers have been rewarded for their efforts this season. According to Howard Beck of Bleacher Report, Curry was selected to the All-NBA first team and Thompson landed on the All-NBA third team:

This is quite the accomplishment for the Splash Brothers. We all knew that Curry would end up on the first team, but to see Thompson also get recognized is very gratifying. A lot of Warriors fans were calling for Thompson to be traded for Kevin Love, I wonder how they feel now?
Curry and Thompson make the the best backcourt in the league. At the beginning of the season that topic was up for debate, but not anymore. As long as they stay healthy, they will be terrorizing opposing backcourts for years to come. It started with winning a Gold medal this Summer, but the journey is still not over.
Congratulations Steph and Klay.
