Minnesota has been hit with the injury bug early and often. First they lost Ricky Rubio with a severe ankle injury. Then Kevin Martin went down with a broken wrist. The bad news doesn’t end there, the Wolves’ skillful big man Nikola Pekovic has been forced to sit out with wrist and ankle injuries. The results of those injuries has Minnesota holding the worst record in the Western Conference at 4-15.
Players To Watch
Andrew Wiggins
The number one overall draft pick was traded for Kevin Love before he even played his first professional game. With the feelings of being unwanted, Wiggins will always want to prove his worth. Unfortunately, the rookie hasn’t found his niche. He’s had flashes of brilliance but it’ll take time for him to piece together the winning formula. In a Wolves team that needs his help, it’s the perfect situation for the future superstar. 19 games in, Wiggins has posted 11.4 points, 1.1 assist, and 3.5 rebounds per contest. It’ll be interesting to see him play against the league’s best backcourt.
Thaddeus Young
In wake of the decimating injuries, Thaddeus Young has stepped up in his teammates’ absences. In the last three games, he’s put up 14,19, and 16 points. The seven year veteran is looking to find a permanent home. This season, he’s averaging 14 points a contest and 4.4 boards. Young is an undersized power forward but knows how to use his body to get what he wants. Barnes and Iggy and Draymond may have their hands full tonight.

Keys To Victory
Defense
It’s important for the Warriors to come out with intensity of both ends. More importantly, the Dubs will need to stop anything in the paint and force the entire team to beat them with outside shooting. The Wolves are young and athletic but lack a consistent scorer. If they lock down on the defensive end, this came could be over quick.
Have Fun
The Warriors play better when they’re having fun. It’s awesome to see everybody celebrating when they go on large runs or making exciting plays. When they’re too serious, it seems as nothing is going their way. Let loose and let the shots fly.
