The Golden State Warriors are off to the best start in franchise history, although that’s been said countless times in the last few weeks, it sure doesn’t get old. Nobody ever gets tired of winning, it’s one of the better feelings a human being can experience.
The Warriors are having fun, but that’s because they are winning. In a conversation with Andrew Sharp of Grantland, Andrew Bogut explains why he is having so much fun this season:
I ask Bogut if he’s ever had more fun on a basketball team. “Fun comes with winning,” he says. “So the answer would be no. We’re moving the ball, we’re winning games. We’ve got really good chemistry. Put all the pieces together, it becomes a much more enjoyable season.”
When you’re 21-2, it’s hard not to enjoy the ride. Not only are the Warriors winning, but they are doing so with a collective effort. There are no big egos on this team and they’ve all bought in to Steve Kerr’s game plan. The players actually like each other too, which makes winning much more gratifying.
The Warriors came into this season with hopes of making a deep post-season run, but now they are considered one of the favorites in the Western Conference. Winning cures everything, let’s hope the Warriors can continue to win and have fun.
