I have registered for Tweedia Day, whatever that is. Couldn’t resist the novelty of a twitter application. Now I’m staring at Tweedia Day, trying to make sense of it. It’s like a flying raccoon just sailed into my living room.
(Do I kill it? Do I pet it? Should I be angry at it? Is it cool?)
Not sure what to think of this, conventional thought should hold that:
- This is more Cohan era distraction pander jibber jabber. Shoot the dragcoon!
- This is the ushering in of a new, fan-responsive Lacobian uptopia. The Warriors are now cutting edges, not corners.
- It’s proof that Lacob is the new frivolous Cohan. Nothing has changed, Hell is under new management. The Warriors are cutting the edges off corners and dousing them with glitter paste. Shoot the raccondor!
I’m not sure Tweedia Day “means” anything, but the application process was easy. I merely wrote, “I write for WarriorsWorld” and that was that. Many have poked the Warriors for favoring PR over winning. Good PR and good records can coexist. It remains to be seen if they will. The future is now, or something like that.
Update:
Warriors tell me the origins of this idea aren’t from Cohan or Lacob. It’s an event that ownership wouldn’t be highly involved in. Sad. I have such hilarious visions of Lacob waking suddenly from a dream and shouting: “I’VE GOT IT! TWEEDIA DAY!”
@SherwoodStrauss
Oh god, I’ve got crap in my raccoon wounds!!
Probably Dan Martinez’ thing since it looks like his career will continue with the new ownership.
