6. Promoting Bob Myers to General Manager
Many of the moves listed below would not be possible if it wasn’t for the basketball mind of Bob Myers. The former UCLA product served as the Warriors assistant GM to Larry Riley.
Joe Lacob promoted Myers in 2012, one year after he was an assistant. He helped assemble a team that made it to the Conference Semi-Finals, ultimately losing to the San Antonio Spurs.
The Warriors have been in the playoff picture since and do not look like they will slow down. The team is on the rise and Myers’ and his moves have been a big reason.
