Golden State Warriors v New York Knicks

2. Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry’s shooting skills can be traced back to something miniscule such as his DNA. He is the son of former Charlotte Hornets great Dell Curry. Dell is the Hornets’ franchise leader in made three point field goals. Before hitting the NBA, Steph made waves around the basketball world with his high-scoring games in his collegiate days at little known Davidson College. The Warriors knew he would be a future star, making him their first round pick (seventh overall) in the 2009 NBA Draft.

Along side Klay Thompson, Steph makes up the other half of the dynamic “Splash Brothers” duo. In the 2012-13 NBA season, his best single game performance came at the biggest stage. Against the New York Knicks, Curry poured 54 points on 18 field goals with 11 of those from behind the arc. He didn’t stop there, Curry broke one of the greatest shooter’s record. He broke Ray Allen’s record for the most three-pointers made in a season with 272.

Curry has even broken our number four’s record in free throw shooting percentage by setting a new Warriors season record by shooting 93.4% at the charity stripe. Steph has become a fan favorite due to his arsenal of ways to score. Not only can he create his own shot, he has the range to shoot from anywhere on the floor making him tough to guard. Add that to his ability to shoot floaters and off screens and you have one of the best shooters ever. Although he is great, he has many more seasons ahead of him. On our list, Curry takes the number two spot.
