4. Rick Barry
The top four players in this list are excellent shooters. Each can make a case to be number one, but we had to make the tough decisions. Again, this is not a list of the best Warriors ever (we have one coming soon), but instead the best shooters.
Barry shot 46 percent from the field and 89 percent from the free throw line, which is quite impressive considering the way he shot his free throws. Barry would shoot the “Granny Shot” and he very successful with it. Some of the big men in the NBA could probably improve their free throw percentage by shooting the ball like Barry did.
He shot somewhere between 30 to 33 percent from long distance and that’s the reason he is fourth on this list. Don’t get me wrong, Barry was a scoring machine, he’s the only player to ever lead the NCAA, ABA, and NBA in the history of basketball. However, just based on pure shooting, there are some better players on this list.
