4. Baron Davis
B-Diddy put the Warriors on the map for the first time in the modern day NBA. Davis was known for being injury prone and lazy. The Warriors were able to take advantage of that label and offer minimal pieces to the New Orleans Hornets and landed the former All-Star.
The Warriors did not make the playoffs for over a decade, but Davis helped lead the way in clinching a spot as the last seed in the 2007 postseason. They ended up pulling off the greatest upset in NBA history when they defeated MVP Dirk Nowitzki and his 67 win Dallas Mavericks in the first round in six games. The Warriors lost in the Conference Semi-Finals to the Utah Jazz in the next round.
Despite winning 48 games in the 2007-08 season, the Warriors fell short of the postseason. However, Warrior fans remember Davis for rejuvenating his career in the Bay Area. His electrifying style made the Warriors a fun team to watch in the National eye and he helped the team escape their losing image.
all good guards, but we need better backup guards for 2015. Why not steal Langston Galloway or sign Delonte West?
