The Warriors bursted onto the scene this season and currently have the best record in the NBA. They are well on their way to a top seed in the West and although the West is loaded, they have shown that they can dominate on both ends of the court. Nobody should want to face the Dubs in the post-season.

This season is a culmination of years of hard work. Steve Kerr has come to Golden State and helped take this team to the next level, but he understands that this team has spent the last three seasons working together to put themselves in this situation. According to Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle, Kerr acknowledges that Mark Jackson deserves a great deal of credit for this team’s current success:
Steve Kerr on Mark Jackson: “He set the table for a lot of what’s happening now. He deserves a lot credit.”

Kerr has said all the right things since being hired by the Warriors. He came into a team with established chemistry and didn’t mess with it, instead he embraced it and ran with it. Before Jackson was hired, the Warriors weren’t very good and he helped changed the culture.
None of the players wanted Jackson gone and that was evident when he returned to Oracle Arena. Everyone welcomed him back with open arms and the fans gave him a standing ovation. He deserves it, he might not have led this team to a title, but he got them on their way.
