In Game 1 of the opening series of the NBA playoffs, Stephen Curry rolled his ankle. He was kept out of Game 2 and Game 3 and rested for a week. With the Warriors up 2-1, the point guard returned for Game 4.
His ankle looked fine but before the half, Curry slipped on a wet spot on the court as he contested Trevor Ariza’s buzzer beating heave. Curry would land awkwardly and have his legs contorted. Warriors fans held their breath as Curry would leave the game and be schedule for today’s MRI.
Today, we now know that the point guard will miss two weeks with a Grade 1 MCL sprain and will be reevaluated then:

The best news is that Steph will not be out for the entire postseason. Without the star point guard whom we assume will repeat as the MVP, the road to the Finals gets immensely more difficult. The Warriors responded in Game 4 and dropped 41 points in the third quarter in another easy victory.
If the Warriors can close out the Rockets in Game 5, they will buy some more rest for the entire team. Their second round matchup will be either the Los Angeles Clippers and Portland Trailblazers. Tonight, those two teams will play their Game 4 as the Clippers lead 2-1. The best case scenario for the Warriors is an elongated series between the Clippers and Blazers.
