Steph Curry spent his Friday evening with his wife and parents at AT&T Stadium watching the Giants take on the Atlanta Braves. Curry was shown on the on the big screen and the crowd erupted with MVP chants.

Not only did Curry get to see the World Champions in action, but he also met the greatest Giant of all-time, Willie Mays. Comcast SportsNet tweeted out a picture of the Curry family with “The Say Hey Kid”:

Curry’s popularity is rising, but he is a mere mortal next to Mays. The 12-time Gold Glove Award winner is one of the greatest baseball players in the history of the sport. Mays was selected an All-Star 24 times and won the World Series in 1954 when the Giants were still in New York.

Curry has already become a Bay Area favorite and he has a chance to become legendary if he brings an NBA title to a franchise that has not won since 1975. The Giants have won three World Series titles in the last five years, so the Warriors have some catching up to do.
