Houston, you have a problem. The Golden State Warriors are in town and look to grab a dominant 3-0 series lead. James Harden has been playing well but it hasn’t been enough to take any of the games. With exception to a few nervous moments, the Warriors have played well and protected their home court. The series shifts to Texas as the Rockets look to find a way to slow Stephen Curry. The Warriors will need to hit their shots and limit the turnovers to defeat a Rockets team that practically has their backs to the wall.
1st Quarter
Dwight Howard was the first to score for either team, but the Warriors were quick to respond. The teams traded baskets for the first four minutes of the quarter and neither team was doing anything to create some separation. Andrew Bogut was magnificent early on and scored 10 points by the six minute mark and the Warriors had a 17-10 lead. A Draymond Green triple made it a eight point lead, but the Rockets were getting some baskets. Both teams stalled offensively and and with a little less than three minutes left in the quarter, the Warriors were up six. A four point run from the Warriors made it a double digit lead and they had the momentum. The Warriors ended with a 30-18 lead going into the second quarter.

2nd Quarter
Ariza cut the lead to 10 with a close bucket, but Ezeli got another alley-oop and slammed it home. The Warrior lead was up to 12. The Rockets looked like a more focused group and they were feeding the big man inside. While Howard was finding success early on, the Warriors always came back to respond. Houston also had trouble making baskets, so the Warriors were not feeling any pressure. After two Harden free throws, Houston cut the lead to single digits. Curry followed by scoring six straight points, which included a box out on Howard. The Warriors were up 15 and they controlled the pace. Curry hit a triple from way back and officially now holds the record for most three pointers during the postseason with 59 and counting. The Warriors were starting to run away from this game and Curry was the man leading the charge. The lead was now 22. The Warriors now lead 62-37 going into the break.

3rd Quarter
The Rockers were resilient and came out clicking on all cylinders to start the second half. With the exception of a Curry free throw, the Rockets went on a 7-0 run. Now the lead was 19 and the crowd was back into it. With about nine minutes and a half left, Curry hit a triple to get it back to 22, but Josh Smith came right back with a triple of his own. Curry then took it to another level, he scored seven points, including two nice drives to the basket and triple from the corner which silenced the crowd. The Warriors were running away with this game, the score was 74-50. The Warriors scored 11 points in two minutes and the lead was now up to 85-58. The Hawks had no response and could not match Golden State’s scoring output. Curry scored another five points to end the third and he had 37. The Warriors led 92-61 with one quarter remaining.

4th Quarter
The Rockers are known for their miraculous fourth quarter comebacks and Brewer started the quarter with two straight buckets. The Rockets controlled the pace and suddenly they went on a 9-2 run and Kerr was not happy. The lead was still substantial, but there was no need to give them any life. Midway through the quarter, the lead was still at 25, but Draymond Green hit two buckets to get it back to 29. With less than five minutes left in the quarter, Curry came out of the game. He finished with 40 points. This game was over, it was all about running out the clock. Kerr took out the rest of his starters and emptied the bench with about three minutes in a half left. Game over. The Warriors won
Rockets fans flooding to the exits. Warriors fans now loud enough to be heard after every Warriors’ basket.
