It was a total team effort tonight for the Warriors tonight. Jordan Crawford contributed a solid 22 minutes with 19 points. Klay Thompson posted 14 points and was key in the Warriors building a 24 point lead early in the fourth quarter.
Andrew Bogut had 15 points 10 rebounds. The Warriors gave an impressive two-way effort tonight; allowing only 85 points and scoring 108.
Golden State is on noteworthy run at the moment. Winners of five straight, it seems that they are finally finding an identity.
Former Warriors’ 2-guard Monta Ellis scored 15 points and Dirk Nowitzki posted 12 in a horrendous effort from the Mavericks.
The Warriors are 10-2 since the All-Star break and a season-high 17 games over .500.
Their 10 game winning streak seemed like a distant memory until now. The Dubs are in the fast lane now, and nothing appears to slow them down.
Golden State is four games behind the Los Angeles Clippers (45-20) in the Pacific Division. Their final showdown is this Wednesday night in Los Angeles.
Granted, the Warriors started out slow tonight, but they were able to dial it up defensively and ignited a 21-6 run finished off with Jordan Crawford’s buzzer-beater to end the opening period.
Play of the game? Andre Iguodala blocked Shawn marion, ran the length of the floor and cleaned up Curry’s missed 3-pointer with a thunderous put-back dunk.
Side note… Dirk Nowitzki tied John Havlicek for 12th on the NBA’s all-time scoring list with 26,395 points.
The Warriors are 2-1 against Dallas this season, with each team winning on its home floor. They will meet one last final on April 1st in Dallas.
The Warriors will look to win six straight games tomorrow against the Clippers.
