The Golden State Warriors are quickly becoming one of the most popular teams in the NBA. Their exciting brand of basketball has captivated the country and they are blowing out teams in the process.
The Warriors were the first NBA team to adapt the sleeved jerseys a couple of seasons ago. Now, they will be one of the first teams to wear a “Chinese New Year” jerseys to honor their fans in China. The NBA has made great strides in China and they continue to grow the game in the most populated country in the world.

The Warriors will debut the new uniforms on Friday, February 20 when the team plays the San Antonio Spurs at Oracle Arena to tip off Chinese New Year, which begins Thursday, February 19. The team will wear the Chinese New Year uniforms again on the road this season on Tuesday, February 24 at Washington and Monday, March 2 at Brooklyn. To conclude the 2015 Chinese New Year, the Club will wear the Chinese New Year uniforms for the final time during the 2014-15 season on Wednesday, March 4 when the team holds their official Chinese New Year Celebration at Oracle Arena when they face the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Warriors unveiled the new jerseys at a special event at the Betty Ong Rec Center in Chinatown earlier today. San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee and Warriors President Rick Welts were part of the presentation. Harrison Barnes and Draymond Green were the players who modeled the new uniform and the crowd was very excited when they were finally unveiled.
The Chinese New Year jersey looks like the slate colorway, but with yellow and red, which are colors associated with the Chinese flag. You can find Chinese characters on the center of the jersey , with the numbers on the top left corner.
