Warriors World
The Warriors went 1-2 this past week with a solid win at their home away from home, Dallas. The Spurs and Lakers both put the hurt on the Warriors which was not surprising at all.
Monta Ellis aka The Head Leader has been killing it, as he’s averaged 28ppg since seeing his BFF get traded away. In games against Portland, Dallas and San Antonio, Ellis scored 34, 37 and 42. Monta Ellis is the only guard other than MJ to score 40+points in San Antonio in the last 25 years.
Coach Don Nelson will be back on the bench Thursday night vs the Rockets. Nellie will have missed 5 games while being out with Pneumonia. Assistant coach Keith Smart has taken over the head coaching duties in Nellie’s absence although the wins and losses still go to Nellie.
C.J. Watson returned to the team after a brief affair with the Swine Flu. Watson was confined to his Las Vegas home while recuperating and told reporters when he returned ” I thought I was going to die”.
MurphLeavy Return
Troy Murphy and Mike Dunleavy Jr. return to the Bay Area tonight when the Indiana Pacers come to town. Dunleavy Jr. is just now returning to the court following major knee surgery in March. The Pacers will limit him to around 20 minutes tonight as he works himself back into game shape.
Who can ever forget when Dunleavy Jr. transformed into “Manleavy”
