The Golden State Warriors beat the Kings convincingly on December 22nd. They cruised to a 20 point victory, giving their fans a great show before heading to LA to take on the Lakers and Clippers. Klay Thompson scored 25 points and Justin Holiday bursted on to the scene with 18 points of his own.
However, the best moment of the night didn’t involve a dunk, a three, or a steal. Actually, it didn’t even involve the game. The Warriors orchestrated a special moment for a mom and her son. After being in Afghanistan serving her country, U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Nikki Castle returned home and her son didn’t have a clue.
He was “randomly” selected to participate in a contest during the game, but Makio then realized her mom was standing at mid-court. Check out the video below, be warned, you might shed a tear or two:
