Klay Thompson was likely the only one happy with the long break because it gave him time to nurse his concussion and today the Warriors finally got some good news. According to the Warriors’ official twitter account, the NBA has cleared Klay Thompson to play in Game 1 of the NBA Finals:
RT @gswstats: OFFICIAL: Klay Thompson has completed the NBA’s concussion protocol and has been cleared to play in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

With a full 48 hours until tip-off, the Warriors do not have to worry about Thompson being available for Game 1. Now, Thompson can go to practice knowing he is going to play and that’s a big weight off his shoulders.
Most of the people within the organization knew Thompson would play, so it’s not much of a surprise, but now that it’s official, they can let out a sigh of relief. Concussions can be tricky and the NBA does not want any type of scrutiny in regards to their concussion protocol, so you know they were extra cautions with Thompson.
The Warriors are at full strength, all that is left to do is play the game. C’mon Thursday, get here quick.
