Kanye West and Steph Curry have something in common. They both left Nike and have boosted their respected brands up with their presence; West is with Adidas, and Curry with Under Armour.

West’s wife, Kim Kardashian recently rented out Staples Center which allowed West’s closest friends come to play basketball. West wore his signature Yeezy 750 Boost and believes the world would like to see Curry in the Boosts.
West was on Hot 97 to address some rumor about him kicking out some kids from a Chuck E. Cheese (Yes I know that sounds ridiculous, but it’s true) and was asked his prediction for Game 4. West didn’t give an answer, but did say that Curry would be a great Yeezy athlete and that the world wants to see the MVP in some Yeezys. You can listen to it in the video above at the 4:38 mark:
“I would like to be really great friends with Steph. I think he would be an awesome Yeezy athlete. I think he needs to get rid of those Under Armours right quick. The world would love to see Steph in some Yeezys.”
West was able to dodge the prediction and turned it into a marketing pitch. West would obviously love to have a player of Curry’s caliber to advertise the Adidas Yeezy 750 boost, but it’s not going to happen any time soon.
Curry seems to be extremely happy with Under Armour and this year they released his first signature shoe, the Curry One. Under Armour has done a fantastic job marketing with the Curry One. Kids all over the country are choosing Under Armour because that’s what the MVP wears on a nightly basis.
Can’t blame Kanye for trying and maybe when Curry’s contract expires with Under Armour he will have a shot. He better be ready to sign a big check, otherwise it will be difficult for Curry to leave UA.
