3rd Quarter
Another quick start for the Pelicans, Davis scored fast and easily. The Pelicans got off to a 6-2 run and the Warriors looked sloppy, so Steve Kerr took a timeout. The lead was nine, but the Warriors used that timeout to get it together. Seven straight points from the starters gave the Warriors a 16 point lead. Neither team would score for two minutes, but after both teams hit a pair of free throws, Thompson hit a three to give the Dubs their biggest lead of the game, 21. The Warriors kept pouring it on and the Pelicans had now answer. They looked like a team that was checked out. A couple of buckets by both teams ended the third quarter, but the Warriors were in complete control. It was only a matter of time before the Warriors eliminated the Pelicans. The Dubs went into the fourth quarter with an 88-67 lead.

4th Quarter
The Warriors just needed to hold on for 12 minutes, but the Pelicans didn’t just roll over and give up. The Pelicans got off to an amazing start. Holiday started it off with a bucket and Ryan Anderson chipped in with five points. In the first five minutes of the quarter, the Pelicans had scored nine points and the Warriors had zero, so it was a 12 point game. Steph scored five in a row to quiet the crowd, but it was only for a moment as the Pelicans came back and scored seven in a row to make it a 10 point game. Both Splash Brothers responded with a bucket of their own, but the Pelicans kept scratching and clawing. Curry turned it up another level and hit a triple in Davis’ face that gave the Dubs a 12 point lead. Davis and the Pelicans kept scoring too, but it was too little too late.
