3rd Quarter
The Warriors came in strong to start the second half. Andrew Bogut and Marreese Speights were active in the paint and helped the Warriors maintain the 26 point lead. The Splash Brothers kept their foot on the gas and continued to the nets splash. A balanced attack from the Warriors and they kept rolling. The Hornets could not stop them or even slow down the Warriors. The Warriors are shooting 55% and have held the Hornets to 39% at this point. The Warriors are dominating and if that wasn’t enough, Curry hit a three with time expiring. The Warriors were up 96-68. The Splash Brothers combine for 40 points.
4th Quarter
The Warriors have another game tomorrow and with such a huge lead, Coach Steve Kerr decided to rest his key players. Even though the Warriors had most of their bench in the game, they did not let up. Festus Ezeli had not seen the floor in quite some time, so he took advantage of it. He scored six quick points and the Warriors lead grew to as big as 30. The Hornets’ reserves were able to hit some shots in the fourth quarter, but the game was already decided. Players like Justin Holiday and Ognjen Kuzmic were able to play most of the fourth and get some valuable experience. The Warriors get an impressive victory after a complete team performance. Klay led all scorers with 21 points and Curry had 19 and 9 assists. The Warriors beat the Hornets 112-87.
