The Golden State Warriors will conclude their 6 game road trip in Brooklyn. Don’t be surprised to see Stephen to find his shooting stroke since he won the 3 point contest in the same Barclays Center. The Nets have been disastrous but continue to have a chance to catch the playoffs in the East.
Don’t let their record fool you, they have some talented players and could cause some problems for the Dubs. In case you haven’t watched the game, here’s our instant recap:
1st Quarter
The Warriors got off to a slow start again and the Nets took advantage. They looked a little sluggish and it could be due to fatigue. The Nets took an early 6-3 lead and the Warriors were in danger of once again facing a big deficit. Andrew Bogut looked real active early on and he had a few easy dunks to keep the game close. The Warriors couldn’t slow down the Nets offensively and they kept hitting shots. With five minutes remaining, the teams were trading baskets and the game was tied at 16. It didn’t last long, the Warriors went ice cold. The Nets went on a 10-0 run and the lead was now double digits. The Warriors were able to come alive at the end of the quarter, but the Nets didn’t cool off and the quarter ended with the Warriors down 33-23.

2nd Quarter
After another disappointing first quarter, the Warriors needed a fast start in the second and they got it. Andre Iguodala scored five straight points and the lead was cut in half. The Nets were not done scoring, so they promptly responded, so the lead kept shifting from 5-8 points. The Nets looked like an offensive juggernaut, they were scoring at will and after a Thaddeus Young bucket gave them a nine point lead. Offensively, you have to give the second unit credit, they were relentless and kept fighting to decrease the lead. The Warriors went on a 9-2 run and the lead was down to two. The Nets used a technical foul to get back going and they quickly went up by six again. Both teams went scoreless for the last two minutes and 42 seconds. The Nets took a 57-51 lead to the break.

3rd Quarter
Like the Celtics, the Nets could score from anywhere on the floor. Both teams scored seven points in the first two minutes and a half. Unfortunately, Steph Curry and Andrew Bogut both had four fouls, so they were forced to head to the bench. The Warriors then went cold and the Nets were up by nine once again. The Dubs responded with an 8-3 run and the deficit was down to four. Once again, the Nets were able to build their lead up again. They went on a 5-0 run and the Warriors couldn’t get any closer. The lead was stable at eight and the Nets didn’t look like they were going to cool off any time soon. A Curry triple cut the lead to six and that’s how the quarter ended. Nets were up 86-80 with 12 minutes left in the game.

4th Quarter
Andre Iguodala started the quarter with a triple and the lead was now three. The Nets came back with a bucket plus the foul from Brook Lopez. The Nets always had a response and the Warriors did not look like a confident bunch. Two free throws from Festus Ezeli and a triple from Curry cut the deficit to one. It looked like the Warriors were going to make their move, but the Nets would not concede the lead, Young hit back to back triples and the lead was once again at seven. The Warriors finally got some stops, but the Splash brothers couldn’t connect on several triples. The Nets were 10 for 18 from long distance and it looked like this game was destined for a loss. They missed seven straight shots and the Nets were now up by 10 once again. Everyone thought the game was over, but Steph hit three straight triples and the Warriors were only down three. They had opportunities down the stretch, but they couldn’t convert.
Those handles tho. https://t.co/fBLR7w6nOQ @warriorsworld
