Despite their disastrous season, the Knicks will look to grab another win off their road trip as they were able to defeat the Los Angeles Lakers. Their chances will be closer to zero and unlikely with the Warriors’ regular staters returning. The Warriors allowed most of their starters to rest while Draymond Green and the second unit faced the Denver Nuggets in last nights contest. Look for Steph to have a phenomenal game on his birthday. If the Knicks can’t hang with the Dubs early, this may be a short night for the first unit.
1st Quarter
You expected the Warriors to win this game easily, but they were off to slow start. After beating the Lakers in LA, the Knicks looked like a confident bunch. Steph Curry was the only Warrior who looked good to start the game and the Knicks took an early lead. Again, you expected the Warriors to take another level, but the Knicks kept hitting buckets. The Knicks were controlling the quarter. Yes, you read that right, the Knicks were the team in control for the first eight minutes of the first period. The Warriors were scoring, but so were the Knicks, which is surprising considering how much they’ve struggled this season. The Warriors went to the second quarter trailing 27-26.

2nd Quarter
After a surprising start to the game, the Warriors were looking to get Oracle rocking again. The second unit did not waste any time, they scored 12 points in less than three minutes. If it wasn’t for back-to-back triples from Tim Hardaway Jr., the Warriors would have broken this game open. The second unit kept playing very well and the Warriors quickly built a nine point lead. The Knicks had to take a timeout, but they came back with a shot from long distance. The Warriors were trying to get a good cushion. Steph Curry wanted to get the party started before they went into break and the triples started flying and falling. The Warriors got what they wanted, and they went into halftime 73-52.

3rd Quarter
The Knicks started with a shot from long distance, but the Warriors kept their foot on the gas. They scored a quick eight points and the lead was safe. The Warriors were having fun and although the Knicks were knocking down shots, the Warriors kept doing the same. The Warriors then went on a 10-0 run and the lead exploded 29. It was Steph Curry’s birthday and although the game was no longer in question, the Warriors were putting on a show. The fans knew it, the Knicks knew it, and the Warriors finished the quarter with 111 points. They were up 111-73 going into the final period.

4th Quarter
The second unit started the fourth quarter and they had to do was protect a 38-point lead. The pace wasn’t the same, but both teams were scoring at a slow pace. An official timeout gave both teams a breather, but the Warriors went on a 4-0 run midway through the quarter. At this point, it’s all about to running out the clock and getting to the locker room as early as possible. Steph Curry just turned 27 and the focus should turn to celebrating his birthday. The Warriors won.
