Stephen Curry led all scorers with 34 points. He added 9 assists in a come from behind victory. Klay Thompson pitched in with 22 points, and the injury-ridden Dubs beat the Bulls 102-87.

Andrew Bogut and David Lee’s absences had little to no effect on the Warriors after the first quarter. Losing their last five of their last seven at home, the Splash Brothers were not in a position  to drop another game to a team that is not in the same class as the Warriors. Klay Thompson snapped out of an alarming shooting drought and finished the night on 8 of 16 shooting. He was dialed in from deep all night, 3 of 6.

Golden State’s bench play has not been something to marvel at lately, but Jordan Crawford scored 11 points coming off the bench tonight. More importantly, Harrison Barnes finally took advantage of the opportunities Mark Jackson gives him, Barnes also added 11 points and was an important part of the Warriors building 91-77 lead with under 5 minutes remaining.

The Bulls fought hard for the entire game. Taj Gibson’s emergence as a key player for the Bulls was on display tonight. The young power forward scored 26 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. His efforts, combined with Tony Snell’s and Jimmy Butler’s, kept the Bulls in contention after they surrendered the lead.

A constant for the Bulls this season has been Joakim Noah, he is their most important player. Noah dished out a career high 11 assists to go along with 10 rebounds. Chicago dominated the glass in Bogut and Lee’s absence, but 17 turnovers allowed the Warriors to set the tempo.

Mark Jackson’s club is still one of the most inconsistent teams in the Association. A home loss to the Bobcats magnified the issues Golden State needs to address after the All-Star break.

The big picture: the Warriors are sitting at 30-20. They matched their record from last year at the halfway point; finished 47-35. (6th seed)

Stephen Curry will start in his first All-Star game later in the month, and he showed why he’s deserving of the bid. He kept the Warriors in the game with sharpshooting and dribble penetration resulting in easy looks at the rim. His scoring in the later stages of the fourth quarter gave the Warriors a 14-point lead which ended up being too much for the Bulls.

The Warriors will look to win a 2nd straight game this Saturday on the road against the Phoenix Suns.
