Steve Kerr inherits a team who won 51 games the previous year and took the higher seeded Los Angeles Clippers to 7 games without their starting center and bench… Ok Ok, I kid I kid about the bench. Kerr is presented with the task of taking this team to the next level almost immediately as both management and fans have a fetish for wanting to be an elite team starting now.
For some, the next level for the Warriors is surpassing 51 wins in the regular season; while for others winning multiple rounds in the playoffs would suffice and for the super greedy winning more than 51 games and making it to the WCF and beyond would do the trick.
We posed a simple question to our followers on Twitter, “What are your expectations for Steve Kerr in his rookie season as head coach?”… This is what the fans had to say:
@warriorsworld gotta be 52 wins and at least one playoff series win #progress

@warriorsworld 56 — Tommy Broughton (@GswFanLee) May 21, 2014

@warriorsworld lacob & myers said kerr will take them to the next level…so 52 wins & WCF is fair. — NSD (@UnkieNoah) May 21, 2014
@warriorsworld > 51 — Beke (@BekeGSW) May 21, 2014
@warriorsworld 50 plus wins
— Mario (@marioso707) May 21, 2014
@warriorsworld 50ish. I just want to see quality basketball on both ends. — Eric L (@ricroc22) May 21, 2014
@warriorsworld 55-58
@warriorsworld <50 wins
— Laura (@Lavra_) May 21, 2014
@warriorsworld 56-26, 4 seed — Miquel (@migs_Lkg) May 21, 2014
@warriorsworld 55+ wins assuming comparable roster and health as last year… Top 4 seed and WCF or bust — Killjoy (@KilljoyGSW) May 21, 2014
@warriorsworld there will be a learning curve with the new offense. I predict 48 on the low end, 55 on the high end. — Lorenzo M. (@LoMed1978) May 21, 2014
@warriorsworld I can see him winning 50 with the starting 5 alone, easy. If bench is upgraded upwards of 55 — JMontoya (@BaySportsTalk) May 21, 2014
