Stephen Curry paced the Golden State Warriors to an NBA-best 67 wins. Curry averaged of 23.8 points, 7.7 assists, 4.3 rebounds, and two steals in 80 games played. He led the Warriors in scoring, assists, and steals.

Throughout the NBA season, many had tabbed James Harden, Anthony Davis, LeBron James, and Russell Westbrook as MVP candidates, but Curry stood out. Success can’t be argued with; the Warriors clearly had the best player on the best team.

Curry received 100 out of the 130 first place votes and finished with 1,198 total points. Harden came in second place with 936 points and only received 25 first place votes. James came in third and Westbrook and Davis were fourth and fifth.
The recognition is great for a Warriors team that is often only labeled as an offensive powerhouse. The truth of the matter is that the Warriors play strongly on both ends. The next step is getting past the Memphis Grizzlies, becoming the Western Conference champions, and then reigning supreme as the NBA’s Champions.
This season has been a great one for Curry. With Under Armour, he launched his first signature shoe, the Curry One. In his fourth attempt, Curry also finished atop the league’s best three point shooters during the NBA All-Star weekend. With a healthy roster, the Warriors have one goal in mind: The NBA Championship.
