Before the start of the season many wouldn’t have believed that Curry would have been an MVP candidate, but the Splash Brother is used to it. For most of his life Curry has been an underdog, but he has always managed to prove the doubters wrong.
Curry is used to it, only a handful of division one offered him a scholarship and his father’s alma mater Virginia Tech only offered to come in as a walk-on. He chose to go to Davidson and the rest is history.
As a draft prospect, Curry was more of a household name, but the NBA scouts believed he was too small and didn’t have a specific position. I wonder what those same skeptics have to say now?
Steph Curry is an inspiration and Under Armour is releasing a colorway commemorating Curry’s journey as an underdog. The Curry One “Underdog” will be available for purchase on April 3rd and they will retail for $120:
The Underdog Curry One represents that journey and his coming out moment. The upper and midsole feature a Metallic Silver color with Steel Red accents throughout the shoe with a reflective logo. On the inside tongue is “Underdog” and three circle graphics on the tongue’s lace loop represents his family and belief in himself.
