The Los Angeles crowd was pretty hostile towards the Warriors trio of Kevin Durant, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson, although the most fervent jeers were saved for Durant and Green.
Team USA beat China by a comfortable margin of 106-57, and Durant lead the team in scoring with 19 points.
Team USA plays at Oracle Arena on Tuesday against China, and Durant should look forward to a much warmer reception from his new fans in Oakland.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma City is still adjusting to Durant leaving town. A sporting goods store marked his Thunder jersey down 99% off to 48 cents, and now a restaurant named after him is closing temporality to rebrand themselves.
KD’s Southern Cuisine has agreed to shut down while they reinvent the atmosphere of the restaurant. The food will remain the same, but any visible connection to Durant will be eliminated.
Angry Thunder fans spammed the Yelp page of KD’s Southern Cuisine saying negative comments about Durant after he chose to sign with the Warriors.
