Draymond Green’s energy and enthusiasm is nearly impossible to match. While we all can’t match him there, we can certainly wear the same shoes as him. Throughout the Playoffs, Green has been wearing the HyperRev 2016.
With his back against the wall, Nike is getting behind Green. Personalized with his player logo, Nike dropped two colorways of the shoes for the Bay Area fans. The white colorway is NBA Finals-esque. With an all white upper, the shoes are matched with gold hits on the branding and heel. Throw in a translucent outsole and these are reminiscent of the Under Armour ‘Friends and Family’ Curry 1 lows.
The second colorway also features a translucent outsole to go with a solid black and yellow upper. As the shoes needed to sport some blue to truly represent the Dubs’ colorway, the outline of the Swoosh features a shade of blue.
Many expected Draymond wear either one of these colorways, but he chose to wear another Warriors inspired colorway. In such an important game, it’s understandable that Draymond wasn’t looking to wear a brand new sneaker. After a few wears, a sneaker usually breaks and molds to a player’s foot.
In case you were interested, these Footlockers carried both colorways. First come and first serve until they are out. Starting today, the Dray Area’s Finest t-shirts will be available at retail at Nike SF.
Is it weird that they have extra covering over the instep and laces? Typically you see that on soccer shoes which are meant for kicking. Coincidence?
I love Dray but he really needs to stop kicking his legs up, arguing with officials and trash talking the competition.
