The Golden State Warriors were the first team to celebrate Filipino Heritage Night. It began on November 14, 2015 and the second and most recent heritage night came on March 25, 2016 against the Dallas Mavericks. In that game, the Warriors would defeat the Mavs 128 – 120 with 73 combined points (4o for Klay Thompson and 33 for Stephen Curry). The Warriors also welcomed back long-time teammate, David Lee.

Boxer, Nonito Donaire Jr. joined the fun and attended the Warriors game. On top of another Oracle Arena victory, the boxer got his own personalized jersey in blue and snagged photos with Stephen Curry and Raymond Felton. Donaire Jr.also known as The Filipino Flash is 36-3 with 23 knockouts; he’s a lot like the Warriors in the boxing world.
